Maribelle Lockhart (>マリベル・ロッカート Mariberu Rokkaato) is known for being one of Mermaid Heel's S-Class Mages and the guild's Ace.

Appearance[]

Maribelle is a young woman with a slender but curvy body, long blonde hair tied up in a ponytail and emerald green eyes.

She usually wears a white bolero jacket over a white dress with a skirt. On her right hip she holds a rapier and a katana inside a white sheath. She has been described as giving off an air of elegance and regality.

Personality[]

Maribelle is generally a proper and composed woman, only giving small smiles most of the time and heavily insisting on etiquette. She can be flustered however, something Celia Marea enjoys doing.

She cares deeply for Rubina and Kagura, and is extremely protective of them, as shown when they were threatened by Ron Burgundy, wasting no time in defeating him, angrily mocking his defeated form before going back to her students to scold their recklessness.

History[]

Maribelle was born into a wealthy family from Minstrel as the youngest child. When she found out that she was expected to marry at age 16 and that she possessed magic her parents forbid her from practicing it.

Thanks to one of the servants, a swordsman, she learned his trade and at 13 she ran away from home, joining Mermaid Heel one year later.

Magic and Abilities[]

Requip (換装 Kansō): Maribelle was shown using it to store away her violin.

High Speed (神足 Hai Supīdo): Maribelle uses a form of Magic called High Speed that dramatically increases her speed. According to her, she has four settings.

Sword Magic (剣の魔法 Ken no Mahō): a Holder Magic involving the strengthening of swords, as well as increasing their sharpness.

Master Swordsmanship Specialist: Maribelle employs swordsmanship as the main element of her fighting style, resolving to use her Magic only when forced to.

Immense Magic Power: as befitting an S-Class Mage, Maribelle possesses great amounts of Magic Power, so much so that the Magic Absorption Ring used by Ron Burgundy was completely ineffective against her.
